Whether it's your first time being photographed together or you're already comfortable in front of the camera, your engagement session can be an intimate blend of romance and joy. The moments I cherish most are those where a couple is deeply in love, inviting me to be a quiet observer of their laughter, their playful adventures, and the effortless connection they share as we explore a breathtaking setting together.

For engagement photos that truly capture your vision, I recommend selecting a location that reflects the colors you want in your home and in your memories. Do you envision crisp white backdrops, or the enchanting beauty of lush, green fields? The colors you choose to wear will also play a crucial role in setting the mood of your images—opt for soft neutrals and pastel hues to create a romantic, timeless aesthetic. Above all, be yourselves. No pose can convey the depth of your love unless you allow yourselves to move freely, naturally. Embrace each other, share a kiss, whisper, and laugh—as if I weren’t there. The result will be authentic, stunning images that feel as though they belong in the pages of a Jane Austen novel.
VISION
how much time will we have?
I feel that watching the time dampens the creative and free flowing atmosphere, so we will never be rushed. Most sessions last between an hour to two hours.
Aside from wedding day, this is your only chance to get dolled up for photos! I love a dressier outfit including a suit and dress complete with accessories and jewelry coupled with a more casual outfit - usually a long dress for my brides and pants with a knit henley or a rolled up sleeve button down for my grooms.
What should we wear?
How many locations and how many outfits are we allowed?
There are no limits as long as you keep in mind that the more time taken to drive or change outfits will subtract from the total number of gallery images you receive. My couples normally choose 2-3 outfits and 2 locations. We will move around a lot within each location for various backdrops.
I'd love to capture your engagement session somewhere meaningful to you. If that's outside of the Birmingham area, I charge $1 per mile. Some of my favorite and most inspiring locations are 30A, Savannah, GA, or family land that you spent your childhood on.
